The proponent is proposing a residential development on Block 5 Section 53 Holt. The project aims to create a 5 storey residential development that offers 76 dwellings with commercial uses on the ground floor.
The residential development will have good access to facilities and services for the future resident population including on road cycling routes and community routes. The site is located in the suburb of Holt and is adjacent to the Kippax Centre and is across from the RFBI Holt Masonic Village.
The proposed development has been designed to incorporate attractive, safe and well-lit and connected pedestrian footpaths with the crime prevention principles in mind. The proposed development is accessible and permeable for future residents allowing residents to access all of the sites’ frontages.
The proposed development has been architecturally designed to deliver a high standard of residential amenity and provide a cohesive relationship with the neighbourhood and the John Gorton Drive streetscape. The design and separation of the development from surrounding areas means it will not create unreasonable negative impacts on neighbouring properties.
The site is afforded excellent proximity the Kippax Centre, public transportation and cycle networks and pedestrian paths that will promote active living.
