S49 Deakin Mixed Use Development

The proponent is redeveloping Block 13 Section 49 Deakin for a Mixed Use Development.  The site is located at 38 Grey Street, at the intersection of Grey Street and Hopetoun Circuit. The site is located north of the Deakin Local Centre, approximately 300m away.  

The Proposal

Classified as CZ5 Mixed Use Zone under the Territory Plan 2008, the site may be suitable for a variety of alternate development uses such as multi-unit residential, childcare centre, medical and/or hotel.

The site is conditionally DA approved for a 5 level Residential Age Care Facility accommodating 105 beds over 100 rooms with 13 Assisted Living Apartments.

This proposal seeks to develop a 5 storey mixed use development including serviced apartments and build to rent units on the upper levels, with health, medical and a wellbeing centre proposed on the ground floor level alongside a signature bakery café and restaurant.
