S12 Gungahlin Mixed Use Development
General Information
The proposed development is located on Block 4 Section 12 Gungalin. The block is bordered by Hibberson Street to the north, Kate Crace Street to the east, Efkarpdis Street to the south and Blocks 2 and 3 Section 12 to the west.
The Proposal
The site is located on the Tram Line and adjacent to its most central stop, connecting the Town Centre to Canberra City. The development identifies and becomes a recognised destination point within the Town Centre.
The proposed development includes commercial/retail at ground level that compliments and completes a pivotal section of the ground plane of the Gungahlin Town Centre. The uses activates the ground level particularly the interface with the Tram line and stop that is flexible and adaptable to change. The proposal includes approximately 3,000 square meters of commercial / retail GFA.
Residential is proposed at the upper levels to house people with a desire to live in the Town Centre with all the amenity it offers. The proposal includes approximately 280 apartments.
